Job Title: Catering and Event Sales Associate

Location: The Legacy Club, Cherry Hill, NJ

Job Summary:

The Legacy Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Catering and Event Sales Associate to join our team. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue by promoting and booking catering services and events, ensuring an exceptional guest experience from initial inquiry to event execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, strong sales and organizational skills, and the ability to create lasting impressions for clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Client Management:
• Generate and convert leads into confirmed bookings through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, including corporate partners, wedding planners, and local businesses.
• Conduct tours of The Legacy Club’s facilities to prospective clients, highlighting the venue's unique features and offerings.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, providing accurate and detailed information about catering and event options.
• Event Coordination:
• Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, goals, and budget.
• Work with internal teams to coordinate catering menus, room layouts, décor, AV needs, and other event logistics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
• Create and manage detailed event orders, timelines, and contracts.
• Marketing & Business Development:
• Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote The Legacy Club as a premier event destination.
• Attend networking events, expos, and community functions to enhance visibility and attract new business.
• Maintain an active social media presence to showcase the venue and its offerings.
• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and manage contracts, invoices, and other event documentation.
• Maintain an updated calendar of events and coordinate availability with internal teams.
• Track and report on sales performance, event feedback, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or a related hospitality role.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in event management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality trends is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
