**Job Title: Pre-Approval Specialist (PAL Specialist)**
**Location:** Onsite in Tustin, CA
**Position Summary:**
Join our dynamic team as a Pre-Approval Specialist (PAL Specialist) and kickstart your career in the mortgage industry! This entry-level position is part of our comprehensive training program, where you will work closely with our Inside Loan Agent Division. As a PAL Specialist, you will assist licensed Purchase Loan Officers by engaging with customers who are interested in obtaining a pre-approval or a new home mortgage loan. Your role will involve gathering essential information from customers and relaying it to Loan Officers, ensuring that each customer receives personalized support tailored to their mortgage needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist customers and licensed Purchase Loan Officers in gathering necessary loan information and documentation to facilitate an underwritten pre-approval.
- Engage with customers through email and phone calls, establishing a friendly rapport and providing guidance throughout the pre-approval process.
- Educate customers and Purchase Loan Officers on the next steps required for obtaining a pre-approval.
- Follow up with both Purchase Loan Officers and customers regarding any additional items needed to complete the loan pre-approval process.
- Set realistic expectations for customers and Loan Officers to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Input and manage customer data accurately in our computer system.
- Appropriately categorize customer files based on their interest and ability to proceed with the pre-approval process.
- Reach out to previously pre-approved customers to offer further assistance as needed.
- Guide customers through the eConsent and eSign processes.
- Help customers review their credit reports to determine eligibility for loan qualification or recommend credit repair options if necessary.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or sales role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with customers effectively.
- Familiarity with the mortgage loan refinance or home buying process is a plus.
- A positive, energetic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A genuine passion for helping customers achieve their financial aspirations.
**Education and Experience:**
- A minimum of 2 years of office or customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in the mortgage or real estate industry is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
- Candidates must have passed the NMLS Safe Exam prior to starting.
