Overview Verathon® is looking for a Translation/Localization Project Manager II to become the newest member of our QA/RA Team located in Bothell, WA. The Translation/Localization Project Manager II is responsible for the coordination and execution of compliant translation and localization projects for medical-device user interface, sales and marketing materials, user’s manuals, and the corporate website in support of cross-functional teams. This person serves as the liaison between third-party translation/localization service providers, Verathon internal departments, and international business units. The Translation/Localization Project Manager will facilitate continual review of existing processes to support Verathon efforts to transition to a multilingual environment. Responsibilities Lead, monitor, and resolve problems for medium-sized translation and localization projects based on Verathon-internal requests. Collaborate effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders, with limited support as needed. Follow project management best practices, with a focus on continued learning. Draft initial project reports/analyses, for review and feedback. Assist in maintaining compliant translation quality by helping manage glossaries. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of project management experience, or advanced degree; experience in the translation and localization industry preferred. Experience in an FDA-regulated or other regulated industry preferred. Experience working with external translation and localization vendors preferred. Good organizational skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Understanding of cross-cultural communication—such as leading a culturally diverse team or adapting content for different markets. Ability to manage projects and respond appropriately. Keen attention to detail. Fluency in English is required; one additional language is preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred. Familiarity with computer-assisted translation preferred. Salary range - $78,073 - $103,972 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range). Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
