Stacys @ Melrose is a vibrant LGBTQ+ bar located in the heart of the Melrose District. Known for its inclusive atmosphere, dynamic events, and top-tier entertainment, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and welcoming space for our community.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons, staff, and property while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the entrance to ensure only eligible patrons are admitted, checking IDs as necessary.
• Conduct routine patrols of the bar and surrounding areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Address and resolve disturbances, ensuring issues are handled calmly and respectfully.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with questions or concerns.
• Enforce bar policies, including safety and alcohol regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in evacuations if needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
• Current Arizona DPS Guard Card (or ability to obtain one).
• Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all patrons, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community.

Schedule:

• Night and weekend availability required, with shifts typically during peak hours of operation.

Compensation:

• $20 / hour
