Job Description

About the Role:

As a Python Data Analyst at Camber Partners, you will work closely with our Data Team and portfolio companies to build data solutions that enable informed decision-making and growth. You’ll help design and implement ETLs, analyses, dashboards, and interactive visualizations to make data more accessible and actionable. Your work will directly impact the adoption of data-driven strategies across Camber’s portfolio.

We believe that great data analysts don't always come from traditional backgrounds. We're looking for a deeply curious, self-motivated individual who may be early in their career but is committed to continuous learning and is excited to develop their skills in Python-driven data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive data applications, dashboards, and reports using Python and SQL-based tooling (primarily Jupyter and Streamlit).
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to expand data capabilities and implement best practices.
  • Build ETL pipelines to optimize and enrich data sources within a data lake.
  • Analyze, manipulate, and visualize diverse datasets to generate actionable insights.
  • Create reporting using low/no-code tooling on top of existing datasets.
  • Work closely with portfolio company teams to ensure data is effectively leveraged for decision-making.
  • Advocate for a data-driven culture by helping teams interpret and utilize analytics.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all data representations.

About You :

While we welcome unconventional backgrounds, ideal candidates will have experience or strong proficiency in:

  • Python for data analysis (Pandas, Jupyter, NumPy, etc.).
  • SQL for querying data warehouses (including advanced joins and CTEs).
  • Interactive data visualization (Plotly, Streamlit, or similar frameworks).
  • Version control with GitHub.
  • Basic ETL and data pipeline development.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

In addition to your skills and technical experience, you are:

  • Endlessly Curious: You love exploring data, uncovering patterns, and learning new technologies.
  • Driven by Impact: You care about helping businesses succeed through data-driven insights.
  • Not Afraid to Dive In: You’re comfortable with ambiguity and excited to figure things out as you go.
  • Collaborative Communicator: You can explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

About Camber:

Camber is an operations-focused investment firm committed to helping software entrepreneurs unlock their full potential through collaboration and data-driven transformation. Since our launch in 2021, we’ve partnered closely with our growing portfolio to build high-impact capabilities—like world-class data practices—that fuel disciplined, scalable growth. Collaboration is at the core of everything we do. We foster a culture of curiosity, continuous improvement, shared accountability, and respect, both within our team and across our portfolio. If you're passionate about leveraging data to drive real business impact, we’d love to have you on board.
