Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Tester to join a dynamic team focused on software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical and analytical skills, using them to ensure the quality and integrity of software applications. This role will involve applying basic test skills, familiarity with programming languages, and executing test plans to identify software issues. The position is based in our Boston office, with the first six weeks requiring onsite attendance for orientation, thereafter, offering a flexible work arrangement. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance standards and procedures within both Agile and Waterfall SDLC frameworks.



Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements documentation to ensure clear understanding and create effective test strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts, and scenarios for functional, regression, and deployment tests.
  • Review and update regression test plans to incorporate enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring the application's integrity over time.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business units to manage and re-test defects efficiently.
  • Document test results meticulously, generate detailed reports, and coordinate release readiness reviews.
  • Participate in production releases, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal user impact.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of testing activities and recommend improvements to the test process.
  • Mentor and guide project team members on assessing various factors such as risk, value, efficiency, and quality in development.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software quality assurance experience in both Windows and Mac environments.
  • Proven experience testing websites across all modern browsers and devices.
  • Experience with various forms of testing, including unit, performance, integration, manual, and automated testing.
  • Understanding of QA structures within Agile and Waterfall SDLC, with knowledge of best practices.
  • Experience in developing test strategies, supporting, and maintaining test plans for UAT, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility-compliant web standards and the ability to proofread content for quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with a diverse group of team members.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., UiPath), C#, SQL, and version control systems is a plus.
