SUMMARY OF POSITION:\n \n \n
\n\n Penn State Health Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking qualified Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner candidates to work as an integral member of our Cardiac Surgery team at Holy Spirit Medical Center with potential coverage at Hershey Medical Center as needed. Both hospitals are located just outside of Harrisburg, PA. The APPs are responsible for providing surgical assistance as well as pre and postoperative patient care including test interpretation and patient referral under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon. Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification is required for Nurse Practitioner candidates. Prior experience caring for cardiac surgery patient population and proficiency in performing endovascular vein harvest is required.\n
