Job Description

Seeking a Roofing Estimator responsible for selling, pricing, and negotiating contracts for commercial and residential roof projects.

Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

• Estimate, compile bids and generate proposals accurately and are completed on time
• Make site visits to collect bidding information and/or from Plans/Specs for new/re-roof projects, when required
• Obtains quotes from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price
• Review/prepare proposed project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures with essential overall cost accuracy
• Participate in pre and post review project meetings
• Complete project closeout documents
• Cultivate customer relationships that will assist in winning profitable repeat business
• Maintain communication with project contacts throughout the entire project from start to finish
• Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects

Job Requirements:

• Prior working knowledge of estimating software Plan Swift.
• At least 5 years experience estimating complex commercial/residential roof projects
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of roofing system design and installation code compliance and manufacturers requirements for warranty.
• Proficient with data base estimating digitizer computerize estimating software (Plan Swift)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Power point, Word
• Must be a motivated and a “self-starter” with professional appearance
• Ability to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situation
• Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
• Must be team orientated
