The Delivery Driver role is a key point of operations execution for Stone Creek Coffee. The DD work is vital to provide a quality product, with unmatched service, in an optimal timeframe and is the key point of execution for the Production General Manager.

The 1 // Metric of Focus:

• REMARKABLE (GREEN) DELIVERY EXECUTION - A successful Delivery Driver will efficiently and accurately deliver and, if necessary, unpack orders to Cafe and customer specifications. A Stone Creek Delivery Driver’s goal is to avoid waste and create remarkable experiences for Stone Creek Coffee’s Cafes and Wholesale Partners. A major aspect of Stone Creek’s financial viability rests in the ability for SCC to produce coffee and coffee products for cafes and wholesale customers in a cost-effective manner. The metric focus of the delivery team is to fulfill those needs and deliver orders correctly and efficiently while operating at or under budget. Additional value is created as cost per pound falls and/or quality of execution rises.

The 5 // Role Aspects

• TEAM COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT – As a member of the Production team, team communication is vital. Production staff members need to communicate with each other and the team mentors on a clear and consistent basis for the team to run efficiently. This can be anything from delivery direction updates, order inconsistencies and issues, mechanical needs, etc. Without clear communication between team members, errors can occur.
• TASK PRIORITIZATION & DELIVERY QUALITY CONTROL – Production staff need to have a standard of uncompromising quality of execution and product. Delivery Drivers need to handle the product with care to make sure no mark out occurs. The delivery driver must make sure that all items are delivered accurately to the correct accounts and to the correct locations.
• DELIVERY DRIVER SOPS– The DD will execute all the parts of normal delivery operation. This includes but is not limited to PM Cafe deliveries, AM Pastry deliveries, and Customer Care deliveries. This includes making sure the vans are in optimal running condition and clean. Any maintenance needs are to be reported to the Production General Manager.
• WORKING WITH URGENCY & CARE – The DD is often the sole point of daily contact between the Production team and the end customer. They are to make notes of any and all irregularities from the previous delivery route, and to make sure that all items are delivered to the specifications.

Compensation Structure:

We offer a starting pay of $16 / hour for AM Drivers.

At Stone Creek Coffee we conduct Pay and Performance Reviews three times annually which include compensation discussions. All compensation increase conversations are based on demonstrated value added to the team.
