We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our production machinery and equipment are in perfect working condition to facilitate smooth operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with a strong potential for growth and advancement. The successful candidate will be a part of a team that is critical to our company's success, as they ensure that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to minimize downtime.
3. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to ensure that our machinery and equipment are operating at optimal levels.
4. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
6. Lead and develop a team of maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
7. Coordinate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repair work to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
8. Participate in the development of maintenance policies and procedures.
9. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
10. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience as a team leader with strong leadership skills and an ability to motivate others.
3. Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
4. Proficiency with hand and power tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus.
10. Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair industrial production and processing machinery.
