Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preconstruction team, ensuring all projects are planned and executed effectively, on time, and within budget.
2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of preconstruction activities.
3. Develop and implement preconstruction strategies, including cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management.
4. Review and approve project design and construction documents, ensuring they meet all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex construction issues, ensuring the highest levels of safety and quality are maintained.
6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all preconstruction activities.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
8. Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior preconstruction role.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Demonstrated experience in leading preconstruction teams and managing complex construction projects.
4. Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in construction software and other relevant technology.
9. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
